A310 Vision

Time changes everything.

Except the ideas that deserve to endure.

A310, a new expression of sportiness

By the end of the 1960s, Alpine had established its reputation through the berlinette and the competition successes of the A106, A108, and A110. Yet, while the A110 was defining the marque on the rally stages, Jean rédélé was already considering another expression of Alpine

In 1968, together with Michel Beligond, Roger Prieur and the young designer Yves Legal, JEAN Rédélé began work on a new radical silhouette. The first drawings were completed that September; a one-fifth scale model soon followed. The project was given a simple name: A310.

A310 Vision, made for tomorrow

A310 Vision explores a new expression of Alpine's sports car, shaped by new proportions and a design language made possible by the Alpine Performance Platform.

The clarity of a single volume

Rather than multiplying lines, the body is treated as one continuous surface, stretched over a low, precise silhouette. The rear becomes deliberately atypical, concentrating much of the concept's visual identity around an architecture unlike anything in Alpine's current range.

Freedom takes form

Alpine Performance Platform opens new possibilities

With A310 Vision, Alpine Performance Platform role extends beyond the future A110: it is a mean of exploring how the Alpine range itself might expand.

Its architectural freedom allows designers to work differently with wheelbase, height, mass distribution and cabin position. A310 Vision expresses it through low, wide proportions: 4.55m long, 1.18m high, up to 2.03m wide at the rear, with a 2.45m wheelbase.

New design territories
The design of A310 Vision begins with reduction. A simple volume. A continuous surface. A silhouette whose character comes from proportion rather than ornament.
From this restraint emerge deliberately expressive details. At the front, the lighting adopts a pop-down principle: the gaze can appear closed or reveal itself, transforming the expression of the car without adding another permanent graphic element to its surface.
