Caio Collet begins his fourth season with the Academy after a promising debut season in FIA Formula 3. After gaining a reputation as a consistent points-scorer in his first season, Caio will look to challenge for race wins and podiums on a more consistent basis in 2022.

Caio joined the Academy ahead of the 2019 season as part of his prize for winning the 2018 French F4 Championship. Born in São Paulo, Caio began his racing career as a karter in Brazil in 2009, moving to Europe in 2015 where he was crowned CIK-FIA Rookie of the Year.

His first opportunity in single-seaters was in January 2018 in the Formula 4 UAE Championship before his successful run to the French F4 title. Caio stepped up into the Eurocup in 2019 finishing fifth that year then claiming second place a year later in a tight championship battle with fellow Academy member Victor Martins.

In 2021, the Brazilian moved up to the FIA Formula 3 Championship with MP Motorsport. Caio’s season began with a stunning podium in Barcelona. He was consistently on the pace and only failed to score points at one venue the whole season. He remains with MP Motorsport for the 2022 campaign.
