OUR ACTIONS
Zinedine Zidane
PROMOTING EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES AND DIVERSITY
French soccer legend Zinedine Zidane is to become the ambassador of Alpine’s programmes for equal opportunities: Rac(H)er and the Concours Excellence Mecanique Alpine. As an international football icon, both as a player and now as a coach, Zidane is an inspiring example for all the beneficiaries of Alpine's equal opportunities programmes. Through the football star’s shared experience and values Alpine aims to inspire younger generations of talent and to believe that everyone, regardless of their gender, origin or background, has the ability to thrive professionally and become a champion.
RAC(H)ER
PROMOTING CULTURAL CHANGE AND EMPOWERING FEMALE TALENT
Launched in July 2022, Rac(H)er is committed to promoting inclusion at all levels within the company aiming to reach a 30% female representation within 5 years. The programme is strengthened by the arrival of both Sophia Floersch and Abbi Pulling in the Alpine Academy, the first as an FIA Formula 3 Championship driver, the second in the Formula 1 Academy Series. Additionally, six talented female drivers will be joining Alpine’s young driver karting programme and will follow a tailor-made programme to make them become the champions of tomorrow.
CONCOURS EXCELLENCE MÉCANIQUE ALPINE
With its patron, Esteban Ocon, a worthy representative of the meritocracy, the Excellence Mécanique Competition challenges the expertise and soft skills of students and apprentices in automotive mechanics. Equal opportunities is one of the founding principles of the competition. An opportunity to pass on the Alpine competitive spirit to talented young people from all backgrounds by driving them to be bold, to surpass themselves, to aim to go further and higher. The prize winners join the teams in the Alpine mechanical assembly workshop to help design the future engines that will power our Formula 1 cars. A way to promote equal opportunities for a victory based on merit!
HUMAN HIGH-PERFORMANCE CENTER
PUTS PERFORMANCE AT THE CORE OF ALPINE PROGRAMME
This under-representation of women led us to an essential cultural shift within the company, with the creation of the Human High-Performance Centre (HHPC) at Enstone (UK), putting performance and drivers at the heart of a new training programme. Alpine teams have designed a scientific method and a unique research programme to measure the physical, physiological, and cognitive data of its drivers and teams. Mastering this data, the Human High-Performance Centre will ensure the progress of Alpine athletes, whatever their gender, creating tailor-made training programmes for them.
