ELECTRIC VEHICLES

How do you charge your electric vehicle at home?

An electric vehicle charges on the mains via a cable, just like most electrical appliances that you have at home.
This cable, which is supplied with the vehicle, can therefore be plugged into a home charging point or a public charging point. You can charge on an electric socket using a cable available as an option.

Technical advice:
- with a home charger: for enhanced charging, we recommend a 7.4 kW AC single-phase or 11 kW AC three-phase charger;
- with an upgraded socket: charging is possible but will be slower, with a power of 3.7 kW AC;
- Suitable cables are called Type 2 cables or Flexicharger cables (for reinforced household plugs).

Practical tips:
- on a daily basis, we recommend charging your vehicle up to 80% to optimise charge time and improve battery life;
- before long journeys, only plan to charge to 100% to ensure maximum range on the road;
- use Charge Pass to travel with greater peace of mind, as it gives you access to Europe's best charging network.
