emergency call
Description of the Service: The Emergency Call service (also known as the eCall service governed by EU Regulation 2015/758 of 29 April 2015) is an embedded system, based on the 999 emergency number, mandatory for all new types of M1 and N1 category vehicles (passenger cars and light commercial vehicles) since 31 March 2018. This service, activated by default, is designed to deal with emergency situations.
In the event of an accident, the vehicle automatically calls an emergency call centre. It is also possible to manually activate the service by simply pressing a button located on the vehicle’s ceiling. For prompt intervention and care at the accident scene, vehicle data are automatically shared with the emergency call centre.
Personal data processed:
- Indication of manual or automatic activation of the service,
- Vehicle type,
- Vehicle identification number (VIN),
- TCU box number,
- Geolocation data (last three vehicle positions),
- Vehicle technical data (type of vehicle, type of powertrain, automatic or manual),
- Time of the call made.

Retention period: Data is kept in the vehicle for a maximum of 13 hours. Data are kept for as long as is necessary to deal with emergency situations. They are completely deleted when they are no longer required for this purpose.

call Alpine assistance
Description of the Service: The Alpine Call assistance service allows drivers to call Alpine Assistance directly from their vehicle in the event of a breakdown. During the call, your location and the vehicle’s technical information is sent automatically.
Personal data processed:
• Technical identifiers (such as VIN, IPN, registration number, IMEI number),
• Identification data (surname, first name, contact details),
• Vehicle-specific technical data (technical characteristics, quality, maintenance),
• Data linked to the commercial relationship (such as payment and transaction data, type of contract)

Retention period: Data is kept for one hundred and eighty (180) days by Alpine and five (5) years by the partner insurer, or equivalent, depending on the country concerned.

Description of the Service: The service automatically updates the map using Map Over The Air (MOTA) technology. The automatic update is performed for the country selected as favourite.

- Browser version,
- connection logs.

Description of the Service: This service enables you to manually update the map from the Customer Toolbox using a USB stick.

Description of the Service: The service enables certain vehicle software to be updated using Over The Air technology.
Personal data processed:

- history of updates performed.

remote control services
Depending on the version, model and characteristics of the vehicle, remote control services offer a number of functions, including:
- Consult from your smartphone, via the My Alpine app, various information on the vehicle, in particular total mileage, vehicle location, range in kilometres or miles and, for electric vehicles, battery charge level, car connection status, history of charges carried out, reachable area of the vehicle according to the vehicle's battery charge status;
- Control the vehicle remotely from the My Alpine app: honk the horn or flash the lights to find it in a car park, and, for electric vehicles, start, programme or defer charging remotely, or start the heating or air conditioning remotely to precondition the vehicle;
- For electric vehicles, prepare an optimal route by finding charging stations along the way.
- When using a Power to Object connector - bidirectional V2L (Vehicle to Load) charging - which plugs into the vehicle's external socket to supply electricity to an object external to the car, this pack enables you to remotely set, from the My Alpine app, the minimum vehicle battery level below which you do not wish to discharge your vehicle's battery, and to receive remote notifications when this minimum level is reached;
- Show you, via the My Alpine app, the locking status of the vehicle to which your smartphone is paired.

Description of the Service: via the My Alpine app, you can remotely activate or programme the heating and/or air conditioning to precondition your vehicle.
Personal data processed:
- vehicle identification number (VIN),
- vehicle equipment (air conditioning, heated seats, heated steering wheel),
- bonnet open status,
- temperature currently selected by the customer in the vehicle,
- preconditioning status (started, in progress, stopped),
- gear lever status.

Description of the Service: Via the My Alpine app, you can remotely start, programme or delay the vehicle's charge.

- complete management of charging,

Description of the Service: From the My Alpine app, you can remotely trigger your vehicle's horn or lights to locate it quickly.

Description of the Service: From the My Alpine app, you can find the charging stations available on your route and remotely manage the planning of your trip by preparing an optimal route, with the location of the charging stations.

Description of the Service: From the My Alpine app, you can remotely set the minimum battery charge level below which discharge is no longer possible, connect devices compatible with your bidirectional charge, monitor the battery charge status continuously, and be notified when the minimum battery charge level is reached.

Description of the Service: From the My Alpine app, this service enables you to remotely locate your vehicle's last position, which will be displayed on your My Alpine app screen.

Smart Navigation
Description of the Service: This service consists of Connected Navigation and Door-to-Door Navigation services.
With TomTom services, Connected Navigation provides real-time traffic information, danger zones, weather forecasts on the route, and information on service stations with fuel prices for combustion-powered vehicles and charging stations for electric vehicles. It also enables address and point-of-interest searches using keywords via the Google Search function.
This service also includes Door-to-Door Navigation, which allows the user to locate the vehicle from the My Alpine app, send a trip from the My Alpine app to the vehicle's multimedia screen, and find the route on foot to the final destination directly from the My Alpine app.
Personal data processed:
Regarding connected navigation:
- The vehicle's technical identifier (technical identifier linked to the service licence, not the VIN) to enable requests to be exchanged between vehicles and partners, i.e. Google and TomTom. The technical identifier is a temporary code that changes with each session. Partners do not receive the vehicle identification number (VIN). These data are anonymous and in no way allow partners to trace individuals;
- GPS destinations and waypoints;
- History of requests from the vehicle.
Door-to-door navigation is an exclusively internal service provided by the My Alpine app, with data passing only through the Alpine servers:
- Vehicle identification number (VIN),
- The destination addresses provided;
- The vehicle's latest GPS coordinates; data relating to use of the My Alpine app.

Retention period:
Regarding connected navigation:
- The vehicle’s technical identification data is saved for 30 days.
- The technical data required for the services to function properly is saved for a maximum of 24 hours;
- The destinations, points of interest and waypoints are deleted immediately. If this data is required to use the service, however, it is saved for a maximum of 24 hours.
- The request log from on board the vehicle is saved for a period of 90 days.
Regarding door-to-door navigation:
- The vehicle identification number associated with the My Alpine account is saved for as long as the service is provided;
- Destination addresses are stored for 30 days
- Data relating to use of the My Alpine app are kept for 90 days.
- The vehicle’s GPS coordinates are erased every time a new position is recorded. This data is kept for 6 months if it is not deleted by registering a new position.

Description of the Service: From your vehicle's multimedia screen and dashboard, these services let you:
Regarding navigation:
- access the Google Maps app to obtain real-time GPS navigation data and traffic information across more than 220 territories;
- activate GoogleAssistant, to control navigation, vehicle functions, or obtain information by voice command without taking your eyes off the road
- access Google Play, and download apps from Google Play onto your multimedia screen (media apps, streaming audio, etc.).
Regarding infotainment: Use apps downloaded from Google Play (media apps, audio streaming, etc.) on your vehicle's multimedia screen.

connected driving service
Description of the Service: This pack provides you with additional contextual information on the road (curves, speed limits, roundabouts, junctions and exits, etc.) and can affect certain vehicle functionalities:
- cruise control, adapting vehicle speed to road context without driver intervention,
- increased accuracy of the speed limit value displayed on the dashboard,
- information provided to the driver to reach the event at the correct speed,
- optimised electric energy according to driving conditions and route (slopes, traffic information, city, etc.) to offer you better range and optimal vehicle performance.
Personal data processed:
- vehicle identification number (VIN),
- service provider licence ID,
- connection logs.

Retention period:
- the VIN and license ID are retained indefinitely, so that the licence can be reactivated once the contract with the third party has expired;

Plug & Charge
Description of the Service: The service enables users to charge their vehicles more easily and securely at any charging station compatible with ISO15118 (the international standard for electric vehicle charging processes). Once the service has been activated, all the user has to do is plug the vehicle into a charging station, and it is automatically recognised and starts charging.

Connected Maintenance
Description of the Service: The connected maintenance service is a proprietary connected service whose main aim is to ensure that the vehicle is in good working order throughout its lifecycle. You'll be notified when your vehicle's scheduled maintenance is due. In addition, you are alerted when a vehicle event requires a repair. Finally, Alpine has introduced mechanisms to anticipate wear and tear on certain parts.

- Data relating to vehicle quality and maintenance,
- Data relating to driver behaviour and driving style.

Battery warranty optimisation (electric vehicle)
Description of the Service: This service enables, via remote data collection, the proper execution of the traction battery warranty and thus minimises the immobilisation of your vehicle. To this end, data are transmitted to our After-Sales service.

- battery health status,
- battery mileage,
- energy supplied by the battery,
