Philippe Krief - Alpine CEO

Biography

Born in 1965, Philippe Krief graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées in Paris – the oldest engineering school in France. He is a chassis specialist with an unbridled enthusiasm for cars and can claim over 35 years of experience within the automotive industry. Working as an engineer and then engineering director, Philippe has developed unrivalled expertise in the development of performance car model lines.

He began his career as an engineer at Michelin, where he worked for over 10 years. He then joined the Fiat group from 1998 to 2011, where he was responsible for chassis and vehicle dynamics. Philippe stayed in Italy to continue his career at Ferrari, Maserati and Alfa Romeo, acting in vehicle, technical and engineering direction roles and bringing highly regarded models such as the Alfa Romeo Giulia, Stelvio and Ferrari 458 Speciale to fruition.

He went on to become Ferrari’s Head of R&D.
Philippe Krief was appointed CEO of the Alpine brand on 20 July 2023, having joined the brand several months earlier as Director of Engineering and Product Performance.
